Hi! Made a new Dreamwidth after failing to really use my old one. I don't really know what to talk about here to be honest since I do most of my braindumps on Tumblr in much shorter and informal bursts than what I associate DW with.

Currently focused on a mix of cartoons and old sci-fi, so I guess I'll touch on a few ongoing projects! 

1) I've been trying to catalogue the contents of the old sci-fi and other magazines I've collected over the years. This means first making a spreadsheet about each one's table of contents since the biggest issue I have is trying to find magazines for old niche shows that aren't going to be named either on the cover or in the ebay listing text. Hoping to include zines as well!

At the moment this is a private personal thing, but once I get more put together and better organized I might open it up as a collaborative thing or bring in info I can find on fanlore and other sites.

Once those stages are more wrapped up, I'm going to be scanning articles for the shows I like to archive them since they are so unknown, cataloguing pre-existing scans that exist of entire magazines, and possibly taking requests for scanning other articles that I've indicated myself to have. Not sure if I have it in me to scan whole magazines anytime soon, so this is the best option so far. 

This has been a bit slow going due to school starting back up, but if anyone's interested in participating let me know!

2) Currently signed up for Festivids! :D I did a pinch hit for it last year, but it's been forever since I've actually participated in an exchange so I'm really hyped. I have many things I'm hoping to rewatch for treat purposes, too. 

3) I'm rewatching the show I have been obsessed with for 16 years now, The Secret Saturdays, and trying to do at least one gifset or other creation per episode! Posting them on abbeygrey @ tumblr and also trying to archive old things I've made there since I've been posting fics and art and other stuff for it since I was like 11. A lot of prominent people from the fandom's early days have deactivated their deviantarts over the years, and while I wasn't ever all that well known I want to preserve what I've made. I'm tired of cringing at past me when past me was actually having a blast, and honestly I'd give anything to look through my old friends' galleries one more time. 

4) Just trying to do original fiction very nebulously. I am kinda tired of spending SO much of my time in fandom's culture around creation but I also am just not great at making non-fandom stuff lol. I need to really start pulling from music and Pinterest and prompt lists again since those were the best sources of inspiration for me when I was more easily drawn into all that. 

Other than all that, just trying to survive school and work and health weirdness with enough success that I do have time for the above.
